I was a friend of Garland Mclver for over 60th years. Garland was my buddy in crime, in high school when it came to having a little fun at the expense of one teacher named MRS Whitlow! McIver would make silly noises and right away she would accuse both of us. She would say I know it was one of you so get out of my class and help the janitor this hour ! Lol!

Over the years we never lost touch with each other. I am going to miss the many conversations we have shared . I Say rest in peace Garland you will always be remembered as a person who made a difference on this earth .

To the family you have my sincere condolences.

Respectfully

VIRGIL L BURSEY

Dearest Friend Forever, we started our growth into manhood away from our homes at Hampton Institute followed by our attendance at Howard University. We were both adventurous and fun loving. I remember that we had dreams even then about what our future lives would be like. This was mainly about what our future family lives would be about and the great Fathers that we would aspire to be. WE HAVE SUCEEDED IN ACHIEVING THESE ASPIRRTIONS……. A forever Friend
