On July 4, 1955, in Queen City, Texas, Joseph Lee Nard was born to the late Nasrose Nard and Bertha Richardson Nard. He departed this life on October 30, 2024. Joseph accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Holy Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Supt. Rockridge Hannah. He united in marriage to Sandra Jones in June 1976. Together they raised four children--LaRonica Nard, Carlos Jones, Joseph Nard and Christopher Nard. Joseph retired from the City of Texarkana Water Company. He loved giving back to the community, pushing his shopping cart collecting items to share with the ones he came in contact with. He always had a smile on his face and something positive to say to everyone who crossed his path. Joseph was so gentle, kind, always willing to help others and extended a hand to those in need. He dearly loved his family, children, grandchildren, and great -grandchildren. He was a father to many that was fatherless. Preceding him in death were his parents, sibling--Leoda Nard, Soloman, Annie Mae Franks, Amos Nard, Zenobia Gladney, Carrie Cooksey, and Matthew Nard. Left to cherish his memories: sons: Uluas Brown, Marco Nard (Marketha), Keldrick Williams, Joseph Jackson, Joseph (Angel) Nard, Carlos Jones and Christopher Nard; daughter: Laronica Nard; siblings: Loria (Homer) McQueen and Deborah (Carl) Nard. Joseph was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
