God has called home a servant of the Lord. Mrs. Haskins was a giant in the community. She taught me in elementary school. I have been a fan every since. She's taught my family so many good values about life. Praying for the family, all the AKA's and the entire community. A True Legend has Gained Her Wings. She is among the Stars that will forever shine bright like the Diamond she was. Rest forever in God's arms.

My beloved Third Grade teacher! Mrs Leatrice Michael Haskins taught third grade at Booker T. Washington Elementary School in Mount Pkeasant, Texas which was her first job.1947. As the years rolled on she transferred to the high school and was my English teacher. I was blessed to return to Booker T. Washington as secretary and work with her. Mrs Haskins was dearly loved by coworkers, parents, and students. She served in many capacities while in Mount Pleasant. In those years small schools were not fortunate to have counselors but the students had a volunteer who would avail herself to listen and help.
Thank you Lord for her life and May the work she did speak for her!

She was my teacher in Mt Pleasant. My coworker and mentor in Texarkana. She and her husband adopted me and taught me how to live an enlightened and dignified life. She also became my friend and helped me grow into maturity. She became a sister with my wife and helped us both to mature into good citizens of this country. We loved her like a parent and friend,

Mrs. Haskins was friends with my parents, Cornell and Lenora Smith. She was also my friend, sorority sister, and mentor. I am blessed to have had her in my life from childhood to adulthood! Please “Walk Around Heaven All Day” with Mr. Haskins!

I am very saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Haskins. When I was a student at Dunbar High School, Mrs. Haskins was very instrumental in my development. She was my champion as I participated in one act play's competition and other interscholastic league activities. Moreover, she and my mother had a connection from there days in Tyler, Texas.

I admired and respected, Mrs. Haskins and her husband Coach Haskins. The Texarkana Community has lost a pillar.

My the family find peace and God's comfort!

I was saddened to hear of Mrs Haskins’ transition. She was a beautiful pillar of our community and an absolutely lovely lady. She served as my sponsor when I was presented as a Las Amigas Club Debutante and did the same for every other Hill young lady presented through the organization. She was a part of our legacy and taught us so much. We were blessed to be one of “her girls!” Our community has sustained a great loss, but now has the opportunity to honor her in our deeds. She will be sorely missed. I send my deepest condolences to her family and will keep them in my prayers.

Thank you LORD for letting us borrow Mrs. Haskins for such a long time. She was such a wonderful person. She showed the young girls how to become young ladies. Coach Haskins, molded young boys into men. We're going to miss them dearly. Rest in peace family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with The Haskins Family as you see Mrs. Leatrice Haskins off to That Eternal City.
She is at Peace. Sickness and disease cannot follow her into The Father's House.

It was a Blessing to have her in our lives for 99 years! But, she will be celebrating her 100th Birthday with The Lord! And, of course, with Mr. Dan Haskins!

Everybody just loved Mr. and Mrs. Haskins!
