Ms. Sally Ethel Golston age 93, was the youngest child born to the late Hardy and Christine Hawkins Golston, on September 24, 1931. She peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on January 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. She was affectionately known by her close friends and family as “Sue”. During her youth, she was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Texarkana, Arkansas.
Sally attended school in Mandeville, Arkansas. She relocated to Galveston, Texas, in 1962, where she received certification and was a Professional Cook. She began employment as a cook with Shriners Burns Institute and eventually advanced to a Cook 3. She received accolades as employee of the month in recognition for her outstanding achievement in the Dietary Department. She retired in 1992, after over thirty years of dedicated service.
She was a member of Avenue L Baptist Church in Galveston, Texas, until she returned to Texarkana in 1992. After relocating, she joined St. John Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas, where she remained a devoted member until her untimely passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and children: Jimmy Price, Cherry Burns and Darlene Johnson; brothers: Hardy “Hot” Golston, Billy Golston and Willie Golston; sisters: Gertrude Wilson, Georgia Mae Golston, Lillie Golston and Mary Louise Richmond.
She leaves to cherish her memory:  Daughters: Barbara (Greg) Larry, Regina (Carl) Brewer, of Texarkana, TX
                                                                     Son: Steve (Margie) Golston, of Texarkana, TX
                                                                     Sister: Mary Lee Burnett, Texarkana, AR
                                                                     Sister-in-law:  Eva Golston, Linden, TX
                                                                     Aunt: Velma Barnett, Vallejo, CA
Grandchildren: PaQuita, Mario (Sonya), Tiffany, Leandrea, Cleotis Jr. (Ashley), Billy, Carlon, Ricky, Steve Jr., Stephanie (Greg), Lance (Marshella), Sharla, Malcolm, Doug, Jr., and Christopher, 40 great grandchildren, 7 great- great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Love, prayers and heartfelt condolences to Barbara, Regina, answered Steve. Mrs. Sally was a warm person and always made me feel like family when Darlene and I were growing up. She was a part of my village.
