Willie Mae Maxion was born October 14, 1946, to Emma Gaulden and Mamen Savage in Eudora, Arkansas. She attended Eudora Public School. She moved to Texarkana, where she eventually left to travel. Later, she returned to Texarkana and called it home.

She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend. She never met a stranger or passed up conversing with anyone. She loved fishing, traveling, and motorcycles where she was a member of the Twin City motorcycle club “Doll”. She was a free-spirited grandmother that loved attending her Children’s events, making memories, and everlasting impressions. She will truly be missed.

​On Wednesday May 7, 2025, she made her transition at the Hospice of Texarkana in Texarkana, Tx. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rosie Mae Chatman, and her brother Charlie White. She leaves to cherish her memory: One daughter, Annette Savage; one granddaughter, Stephaine Poole; two great-grandsons, Dauan Johnson and Jauan Johnson; one great-granddaughter, Seven Black; two great-great grandsons, Jauan Johnson Jr., and Ja’Kai Johnson; one sister Norma Johnson (Conway, AR); two brothers, Larry White (Texarkana,Tx), Robert Lee White (Pontiac, MI); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
