Our Staff
Jonathan Wm. Stuart, Jr.
Owner, Funeral Director/Embalmer
Jonathan was born and raised in Texarkana, AR. As a teenager, Jonathan lost his uncle, grandmother and grandfather all within a 9 month period. He saw all of them when they passed away. His uncle passed away on the couch in the morning eating and he walked in on him. His grandmother walked to the restroom and never came back; when checked on, she had passed away from a massive heart-attack. A few months later, he lost his grandfather to cancer. After seeing them pass away, the next time he saw them was in their casket, and they looked extremely well.
He wondered how the process evolved from the death to the casket (embalming) so he chose to go to school to learn how the body was prepared. Jonathan attended and graduated from the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope, Arkansas (UACCH). After attending school, he worked overtime completing his apprenticeship through the State of Texas working with many funeral homes in the Texarkana, TX area.
Jonathan received his Embalming and Funeral Director license on November 13, 2003 from the State of Texas and in 2004 received his license through the State of Arkansas. He continued to improve his embalming skills by working at various funeral homes and by word of mouth his embalming expertise continued to blossom. Through his meticulous attention to detail, he became known as a great 'Restorative Artist'.

Mary Stuart
Mary is originally from Texarkana, AR. She originally started working with Jones Funeral Home before it closed down. Shortly after opening Jones-Stuart Mortuary, Inc, Jonathan asked her to come work with him. One of her favorite aspects of working in the mortuary is bringing comfort to the family, helping people and can identify easily with people's loss since the majority of her loved ones have passed.
Rennetta Rowe
Rennetta Rowe is originally from Ashdown, AR and has been with Jones-Stuart Mortuary, Inc for almost 2 years. When her dad passed away, she became interested in the preparations. Since working for Jones-Stuart Mortuary, Inc, Rennetta not only shares her sympathy with family but really connects with the people. Rennetta is often found providing comfort to the families through prayer and throughout the services.
Rosie Johnson
Rosie is originally from Texarkana, TX and has been with Jones-Stuart Mortuary, Inc. for approximately 1 year. Rosie's mom had known them for years before she began working at the mortuary. Rosie is a very caring person. After her mom, father, sister, brother and husband all passed away, her neighbors helped set in her heart that it was God's calling for her to work in a funeral home before she goes home to our Heavenly Father. She enjoys greeting all the family and friends that come into the office since she can relate to so many of them and has a better understanding of where they are coming from and assist in bringing comfort to their hearts when they are hurting most.
