(Billie) Royal and Alethia Moore Royal, led a life marked by dedication, service, and a blunt sense of humor. Luther was baptized at an early age and honorably served in the Army for two years, embodying commitment to his country. Following his military service, he embarked on a remarkable 27-year career at Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill in Valliant, OK. Luther's contributions extended beyond the workplace, as he passionately played baseball for Weyerhaeuser. Luther had a gift for bringing joy to those around him. His laughter resonated like a melody, creating cherished memories for all who had the privilege of knowing him. A man of diverse passions, Luther found joy in the simplicity of life. He cherished his Keystone. Old cars held a special place in his heart, each one telling a story of adventure and nostalgia.Traveling was another adventure Luther embraced wholeheartedly. Exploring new places and creating memories with loved ones fueled his spirit. Beyond that, Luther was a culinary maestro, delighting in the art of cooking and sharing meals that brought people together. Luther is proceeded in death by his parents, son; William LaDale Royal, brothers; Ira Royal Sr, Sylvester Royal, Willie Earl Royal, Laney Edward Royal and Joy Royal. She was a member of Bright Star Baptist Church. Her passion was cooking, decorating, and fashion. She was a cook for Bryce's Cafeteria and many other places doing what she loved. She was outgoing with a big heart and full of love. She will truly be missed. She was preceded in death by her mother Hattie Lee Johnson Purifoy, her father Luster Johnson, her sister Mary Johnson and her brothers Charles Johnson & Lester Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories her five daughters: Tomeka Johnson of Texarkana, Texas, Chkeytha Johnson of Texarkana, Texas, Nedrita Johnson of Texarkana, Arkansas, Devetta Johnson of Texarkana, Texas, and Jerrica Phillips of Texarkana, Texas. Seay & Eva Frances Saddler. She departed this life on Wednesday November 29, 2023 in the comfort of her sister Candie E. Harris under the care of Hospice of Texarkana. Ms. Walker was an active member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church of Doddridge, Arkansas until her health failed. She served as Mission President, Usher, Announcement Clerk, Correspondent Coordinator, Advisor & Sunday School Teacher. Ms. Walker learned from an early age how to work hard in order to enjoy the comfort of living the life she wanted. She played an active role in helping raise her grandchildren and knew how vital it was having a strong family foundation. She was an elite Bible Scholar who loved to study God's word. Drawing, composing numerous religious skits for her church family was her passion and it was very beneficial to her church family. Ms. Walker was an amazing cook and took pride in her ability to provide a good meal that not only nourished the body but also the soul. Last but not lease Billie Jo loved fashion and she knew in order to feel good, you had to look good doing it. Lucious LaMont Harris was born May 15, 1957 to the late William Lucious & Gertude Harris in Los Angeles, CA. His parents later moved to Ohio where he went to school at Chamanabe High School Ohio and joined the US Marine Corps in July of 1977. He moved to Arkansas in 1991 and begin working at Little River Millswork where he worked until he retired in 2019. LaMont and Angela met in 1991 and married in 1993. He loved listening and playing music, especially Rock & Roll. He taught himself to play guitar and began playing with Angela at many Churches over the years. He was the Musician/Guitarist at New Zion Baptist Church in Richmond, Arkansas where Rev. Smith was Pastor. He loved his Choir and the whole Church Family. LaMont had a friend, Bass Player Don Bell that would come by and they would spend hours “Jamming” as LaMont called it. After a long battle with cancer, and a “good fight” LaMont gained his wings early on November 13, 2023 in his loving Wife’s (Angela) arms. He was a quiet, reserved man with a few words and a big heart. LaMont was preceded in death by his parents, William Lucious and Gertude Harris; sister, Carol Diggs. LaMont leaves to cherish his memories: His wife: Angela Harris of 30 years. Sons: Ryan (Karina) and QuinTray (Rachel). Daughters: Montia (Steven), Jackie (Damon) and Dog: Gaga. Spencer and Arteria Doss. She graduated from Booker T. Washington in 1954. She played in the Marching Band. She found Christ at an early age. She was a member of Miles Chapel CME Church until her health failed in February 2015. She was active as an Usher, Texarkana Fellowship Usher Board, Missionary Department, Budget Committee, Hospitality Committee, and Class Leader. Among other church financial contributions, she was faithful in meeting her Annual Budget obligation. In 1955, she married Chester L. Hughes. To this union, four beautiful children were born: Debbie, Darwin, Derrick, and Beverly. She later married Ulysses Childs, who preceded her in death in 1983. She was employed at Red River Army Depot for 30 years, retiring in 1993. Barbara was pleased and excited to serve on the Red River Travelling Team, which took her to many U.S. States and out of the country. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Spencer and Arteria Doss; two sisters, Paula Diane Ware and Sandra Johnson; three brothers, James Spencer, Ronald F. Ware, and Donald E. Ware, and one grandchild, Tonya Hughes. Left to cherish her memories are her Children: Debbie (Johnny) Pree of Texarkana TX, Darwin ( Marrie ) Hughes of The Colony TX, Derrick L. Hughes of Texarkana TX, and Beverly (Curtis) Dafney Jr. of Texarkana TX. Three brothers: Robert Spencer Jr. of Texarkana TX, Myron (Regina) Ware of Killeen TX, and Darryl (Pamela ) Ware of Fort Worth TX. Ms. Darlene was born on February 24, 1958, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Welton Williams, Sr, and Pearlene Williams, who both preceded her in death along with her brothers Welton Williams, Jr. and Gary Williams and the father of her daughter George Cheatham. Out of 7 children, she was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Williams. She graduated from Arkansas High School, class of 1976. Ms. Darlene was a darling. Her personality and character shone like a bright, brilliant star, and she treated everyone with a sugary sweetness and the kindest affection like only she could. She was a phenomenal mother, a one-of-a-kind Nana, a loving sister, an amazing aunt, and a compassionate friend. She is survived by her daughter, Angelica Cheatham, and her grandchildren Traicen Houff, Lonnie Grant III, and Iris Grant of Texarkana, Arkansas, her brothers, Darrell Williams of Texarkana, Arkansas, Gregory Williams of Rock Island, Illinois, Jeffery Williams of Nashville, and Micheal Williams, also of Nashville, Arkansas. Louis was born on November 25, 1943, in Rosston, Arkansas to the late Lawrence and Ola Mae Hopson Coleman. He was one of twelve children. Louis accepted Christ at an early age at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Rosston, Arkansas. After graduating from Oak Grove High School, he moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, and became a cook at the Roman Court Hotel. In 1965, Louis moved to Rockford, Illinois, and worked at Rockford Powertrain for 34 years. In 2006, shortly after retirement, Louis moved back to Arkansas, in the city of Texarkana. Louis was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, son; Terrell McCoy, grandsons; LeQuon and Louis, brother; Lawrence, Jr., sisters, Annie Bell; Ira Lou; and Vastie. Loved ones left to cherish his memory, are his loving and dedicated wife of 45 years, Dorothy E. Coleman, loving daughter, Yvette (Michael) Smith, beloved sons, Louis F. (Angela) Coleman; and Brent (Ashanti) Coleman, eleven beautiful grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, sisters, Nora Virginia (James) Yarbrough; Irene (Robert) Tidwell, brothers, Horace (Loretta) Coleman; Dave (Doretha) Coleman; Herbert (Charlotte) Coleman; Otis (Casha) Coleman; and Troy Gulley Coleman, many beloved nephews and adored nieces, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Louis was a faithful church member and dedicated Deacon for 35 years, serving at Progressive Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church, in Rockford, Illinois, and Lonoke Baptist Church, in Texarkana, Arkansas. He had a great love for the Lord and a strong hold in his faith. Louis enjoyed a peaceful life, full of love. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and fishing before he became ill with Alzheimer's disease. He was a wonderful man, a devoted and loving husband to his beautiful wife, and a great father to his children and grandchildren. Louis was a source of inspiration to many and his passing leaves a void in the hearts of everyone he knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, and his unwavering faith in God. He was one of five children born to the late Tommie and Ellen Stewart. Due to the death of his father, a 6 year old boy became the head of the household and never looked back. He completed 8th grades of education before going to mechanic school. He raised seven children by himself as a hard working man and was a dedicated farmer. He was preceded in death by: Ethel Williamson Stewart (1st Wife), Glenda Archer Stewart (2nd Wife); Sons: Calvin Stewart, Jr. and Richard Stewart. Siblings: A. G. Stewart, Ola Mae German and Christine McGee.
