Chaplin, Ashley T. Hatton (spouse Jason Hatton), Dr. Dy’Reshia M. Chaplin, and Gregory Darrell Chaplin Jr. (spouse Donna Chaplin). She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Chiffiany D. Armstrong, and her godchild, Beaushanna Holeman. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Victoria M. Armstrong, Donovan O. Washington, DiQuin M. Shorter, Courtney D. Hope Jr., Laehla C. Chaplin, Kaleb D. Chaplin, Aaliyah R. Chaplin, Kalani J. Chaplin, Kameron J. Chaplin, Malachi T. Hatton, and Alaysia M. Hatton; as well as her great-grandchildren, Damarion D. Harris and D’ior M. Harris. Ruth also leaves behind her bonus grandchildren, Aryel Johnson and Janelia Hatton. She was a cherished sister to Allen Felder (spouse Donna Felder), Carla Santos-Whitmore (spouse Eugene Whitmore), Ursula Felder-Perdue (spouse David Perdue), Jose Santos, I. Elliott, Demetrius Abbott, James McGriff, Brett Felder, and Capria Felder. She is predeceased by her siblings, Irvingdean Elliott, Eugeina Felder, and Beaushanna Holeman. Ruth's memory will be treasured by a host of nieces and nephews, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be remembered for her boundless kindness and the love she shared with everyone. He was born on May 22, 1957, to Luther and Henrietta Brown. Larry attended Carver Elementary School and graduated from Arkansas High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army. As a Sergeant, he served in various locations and had many remarkable stories from his time in the service. Larry received numerous decorations and awards during his military career, including the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army lapel button, Army Achievement Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon 2D AWD, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal 3D AWD, Expert Badge with M-16 Rifle bar, and Marksman Badge with Hand Grenade bar. After his service, Larry returned home and joined the Army Reserve. He married his second wife on January 1, 1987, and they settled in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, where they welcomed two children. Larry earned an Associate of Science degree in Welding Technology from Westark Community College in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He later started his own business, L&L Welding, and after ten years, he returned to Texarkana, where he worked in various jobs and eventually retired as a sheet metal worker. Larry had a deep passion for golf, often spending as much time as he could perfecting his swing on the course. He was also a devoted fan of the Razorbacks, cheering enthusiastically for his team every game. In addition to that, he faithfully supported the Cleveland Browns, eagerly following their season and celebrating their victories. His love for sports was a significant part of his identity, bringing joy and excitement to his life. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Henrietta Brown; his daughter, Niki Brown; his grandson, Daylon Brown; and his siblings: Jimmy Rae Pennington, Willie D. Daniels, Clarence Brown, R.C. Brown, Roy Brown, and his sister, Faye Brown. He is survived by his daughter, Tina Brown of Oklahoma City; his sons, Larri Jefferson of Dallas, Texas, and Larry Brown Jr. of Oklahoma City; and his siblings, Mable Brown, L.C. Brown, Gloria Brown, Dennis Brown, and Janice Brown. Larry is also survived by two grandchildren, Daviion Brown of Oklahoma City and Aiyeir Jailani Jefferson of Dallas, Texas, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kings Hwy Wake Village, Texas David Allen Warren was born on August 6, 1960, in Magnolia, Arkansas, to the late Bernice Paschal and Curtis Warren. From a young age, his life was deeply rooted in faith, which he nurtured through his involvement with Bethlehem Baptist Church in Magnolia. David later became a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church in Texarkana, TX. He graduated from Magnolia High School in 1978. After high school, David embarked on a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Marine Corps. David’s dedication to service and country was evident and he held several important roles, including Aircraft Recovery Specialist, Marine Security Guard, and US Marine Corps Recruiter. His exceptional service earned him multiple honors, including the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and Navy Achievement Medal. Upon retiring from the US Marine Corps, David continued his commitment to service within the community. He worked with North American Tank Car, Lear Ziglar at Red River, and Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. He also pursued careers as an insurance agent, a financial advisor with Primerica, and a notary public for Texas and Arkansas. David leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Mary Warren, and daughter Angela Warren of Texarkana, Texas. His brother Patrick Penigar, nieces Titania Washington, Tatiairia Penigar, and Tiania Penigar all of Los Angeles, and cousins Tony Greene of Los Angeles and Henry & Michelle Cooper of Magnolia, AR. Patricia worked various jobs in the health care field until she could no longer work due to health issues. Patricia professed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Park Avenue Baptist Church where she served faithfully under the leadership of the late Rev. Londell Williams. Pat loved the Park Avenue Baptist Church Young Adult Choir. She later joined Lonoke Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. K. Yarber, Sr. and continued to sing in the choir under Pastor Arthur Hill, Sr. until her health declined. She was preceded in death by her father Leon Elijah, Sr., mother Ever Gee Elijah, and brothers David Elijah and Carl Elijah. Texarkana, Arkansas Jonathan Laray Reed was born September 2, 1964 in Greenville, Texas to the Reverend John L. and Virginia Jackson Reed. He attended Travis Elementary School in Sulphur Springs, Texas and completed his public school education at Liberty-Eylau Independent School District in Texarkana, Texas in May 1983. Jonathan worked construction and his first construction job was working to help erect the Hopewell Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He attended Texas College Tyler, Texas on a full baseball scholarship and later enlisted in the United State Navy serving on the USS Juneau. Jonathan is fondly known as Cool Breeze and Shawty Smalls. He loved fishing, telling jokes, children, sports, cooking and spending time with his family. Jonathan coached little league baseball and umpired for Dixie League Baseball. Sundays for Jonathan included morning worship, dinner with family, and football. He followed Liberty-Eylau sports his entire adult life. Jonathan’s proudest achievements later in life included being elected chairman of the Trustee Board of Hopewell Temple CME Church, tending to the business and upkeep of the church, and singing melodiously in the Hopewell Temple Inspirational Choir. He led quite a few songs on Sunday morning and he loved to give glory to God until his health failed. Jonathan has been loved and supported by Darlene Jones for the past 12 years. He is the proud father of Jas’Monique Madison of Tyler, Texas and Gabrianna Gatewood Fort Worth, Texas and bonus father of 6. He is preceded in death by his great grandmothers, Millie Williams, Dyras Reed and Gracie McKinley; grandparents Willie and Hattie Stevenson, John and Fannie Mae Jackson, Leroy “Buster” Wright, Hilbert Reed,his childhood friend and older sister Veronica Denise Reed Traylor AKA Honey on July 29, 2024 and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jonathan leaves to cherish is memory: parents, Rev. John L. and Virginia M. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of the Greater Shiloh Church of God in Christ in Nash, TX. Felicia graduated from Texas High School in 1992 and went on to obtain her certification in Phlebotomy from Texarkana College. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others, working at Health South and Wadley Hospital. She was an avid reader, a passionate fashionista, and a lover of music, with an impressive collection of albums. Felicia found joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren and shopping. Her family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Felicia was preceded in death by her father, Vandy E. Butler, stepfather Lawrence Lock, grandfather L.C. Chatman, grandmother Betty Hall and her uncles Steve Chatman and L.B. Chatman. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, cherished by her loving mother Barbara Lock of Nash, TX; her daughter Isis Butler of Texarkana, TX, and her three sons, Tiyae Butler, DeEdric (Bubba) Petty, Jr., and Camron Petty, all of Nash, TX. She is also survived by her brothers Victor (Kaleshia) Butler of Texarkana, AR., and Conrad (Smith) Butler of Haslet, TX. Mike is preceded in death by this father Samuel Muldrew and mother Menzella Reader, his wife Sara Reader, brother Leroy Paxton, sisters Doris Burkins, Bennie Means, Marilyn Moore.
