Charlotte Carr-Ellis was born to Charlie Carr, Sr., and Margaret Ann Carr-Whitmore on May 23, 1955, in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was married to the late Elliott Ellis for 9 years until his death in 2011. Charlotte attended public schools in Texarkana, Arkansas and Texarkana, Texas and graduated from Texas High School in 1973. She attended Texarkana Community College and graduated from Texas A & M University in Texarkana, Texas. Charlotte was employed at Globe Union for two years and was later employed at Domtar in 1979 and retired from there in 2020. Charlotte accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Mt. Zion First Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully. She was extremely outgoing and believed in treating everyone with kindness and compassion. She loved music and was a beautifully skilled pianist.
