To my dearest friend/Cousin, this has been the hard to accept. Knowing I won't hear you say, the name you gave to me "Berlee". You lite up a room when even someone was at their lowest. You made sure that no matter what the class of '88 was and will always be Family and show much love to one another. I will miss you dearly. Love Berlee

It is with great sadness that I write this message. Over the past twelve months, so many that I have known in my lifetime have left this earthly realm. All will truly be missed and remembered as people who made a difference. Darrell, though, is special among them. I got to know him when he was as a corrections officer at MCDC. He was then, and throughout the time I have known him, been one of the most kind and conscientious people I have known. A big guy, with a big heart for all who knew him. It is so sad to see him leave us at such a young age when he still had so much potential for his future endeavors. Darrell will be greatly missed by me and all who had the privilege of being in his presence.
