Rev. David Elijah was my brother in the ministry and one of my dearest friends. He had a very special spiritual gift. Almost every time he preached the gospel, someone would give their life to Christ and join the church. I will surely miss David and his great sense of humor. To his wife Sybil and his wonderful children and family, please know that I am praying for your strength during this difficult time.
God bless you.

Rev. Elijah, the only way to express what you mean to me and to my family is to say it was not a question as to who would be the person to officiate my mother's funeral. You have been a friend to my family all the years of my life and even before. You were a constant example of what it means to be God's servant. I praise God for allowing us to reconnect and be able to worship together. I'll love and miss you forever!!!!

GRACE TO YOU: Family of Reverend David Jerome Elijah, Sr., Sister Sybil Ann Elijah, David Jerome Elijah, Jr., Keandrea Elijah, Patricia Elijah Jackson and your whole family.

In the name of JESUS, the name above every circumstance, situation, problem and everything; I/We send our deepest, heartfelt condolences to you. God be with you as the Holy Spirit imparts overcoming grace and strength for the rest of your journey. Our Heavenly Father loves you unconditionally and has made available strength in the name of Jesus and His Precious Blood. Jesus is your waymaker, promise keeper, and light in darkness. You aren't forgotten and you aren't alone. Jesus loves you. The Lord Jesus is releasing supernatural mercy and compassion on you, right now. He is full of grace, mercy & peace. The Holy Bible says: God is the God of all comfort. There is grace today for all your needs. His grace is sufficient. His grace through faith saved David, kept him and led him to his new home in eternal glory (heaven) to be with Jesus.

TRIBUTE: I Remember, Rev. David Elijah, a faithful man of God and dear brother in the Lord Jesus Christ. He was friendly, humble, caring and possessed a maturity beyond his age. I Remember him sharing testimonies of how good God was to him personally. I Remember David, the times he made his 2 & 4 points while preaching the word with enthusiasm and saying, "I won't be long." His journey through life leaves footprints of compassion, courage, and dedication. His legacy will live on. He was blessed under the pastoral leadership of the late Reverend C. K.Yarber, Sr. Later he was blessed under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Arthur Hill, Sr. Praise the Lord for the completion of the ministry assignment God called him to. I/We thank Jesus for the impact that he made in the life of his loving family, the Body of Christ, friends and many others who received and benefited. He served well and fought a good fight of faith (II Tim. 4:7). I Remember David, the last words that I heard him say from the scriptures were: Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints [born again believers]. Psalm 116:15. In the Living Bible it reads: His loved ones are very precious to Him and he does not lightly let them die. Jesus said... "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in Me (Jesus), even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die (John 11:25, 26; John 14:27). There is victory in the name of Jesus. God bless you. Keep (focus) your mind on Jesus, follow, TRUST and give Him thanks for hearing and answering your prayer for supernatural inner healing. Dr. Margarette Boyd Woodard & Family.

David was a good friend and co worker. When David went into ministry that was a blessing. One thing about David when he got up to preach he didn't play around so you better be on time for service. Because when he said I won't be long that's what he meant. Family you have me deepest condolences.

Dear Elijah Family,

Words can't begin to express the sympathy we feel about the untimely death of your beloved husband, father. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
I hope the expressions of sympathy that you must be receiving from everyone provide some consolation to you. Hopefully, knowing how much he was loved will give you a measure of comfort. He was always so nice to everyone. He always had a positive attitude and encouragement.

I hope you and your family can find peace in the memories that you have of him.

May God bless you and your wonderful family

I know its been almost 2 months since David passing but it's never to late to let the Family know that they are still being Thought of & Prayed for... David was an Awesome man, I worked with him at St. Michael hospital, his Birthday is a day after mine & i saw him many mornings on the Porch at his Family home on Ray St. while i was caring for an Uncle whom lived across the street.. David always spoke with a smile on his face & he did the Eulogy for many of my loved family members whom have gone on ... I can hear him now saying "I WON'T BE LONG" (during his Sermon)...Rest in Peace David, you are definitely Missed....
