Frederick Carl Murphy departed this life January 13, 2023. Frederick was born June 29, 1955, in Dekalb, Texas, to Mitchell Murphy Sr., and Alene Paysinger Murphy.  He graduated from Dekalb High School, class of 1974. Frederick was a member of St Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, and by four brothers: Roscoe Powell, Raymond Morine, Mitchell Murphy, Jr., and William Earl Murphy. Frederick leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Sammie T. Morine (Pearline), of Texarkana, Arkansas; and two sisters: Bessie Green, and Ruthie Mae Ford, of Dekalb, Texas as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date.

My condolences to the family of Fredrick Murphy. He was a dear friend and classmate. Gonna miss talking to him when I come home.

My sincere sympathy to the family. Frederick was always so kind to me when I visited DeKalb. His beautiful smile with be greatly missed. May God continue to bless the family 🙏🏽

My sympathy and prayers for the family of Fredrick Murphy. I.l I ved conversating with him as he would always give you good advice about things as well as his point of view. He will be missed.
