Gianni Orion DiBartolo was born November 9, 1973, to Ronnie Gaines and the late Bertha Mae Lewis as Jemaine Demond Lewis. He officially changed his name to Gianni Orion DiBartolo in 2019. To those who knew him, he will always be known as Demond or Blind. He was raised in Ashdown, Arkansas and as a teenager, moved to Nashville, Arkansas where he attended high school and graduated in 1992. After graduation he traveled to many parts of the United States and had a variety of occupations. The one he loved most was painting and designing the outline of many military armored vehicles. This job was one of his finest moments that he loved to talk about. He was a member of Walker Chapel CME Church, Texarkana, Arkansas. As he has reached his final journey here on Earth, he will continue his heavenly journey in Body, Soul and Spirit to be met by his Mother: Bertha Mae Lewis and Grandparents: Rev. Isaiah and Gertie Mae Lewis and Ms. Dottie R. Gallington. Others meeting him are three uncles, Leon, Leander, and Levester Lewis and four aunts, Fredia Ann Murphy, Shirley Scroggins, Lesley Cunningham, and Nikita Lewis. All of whom preceded him in death. Those left behind and remember him are: Father: Ronnie Gaines of Houston, Texas; Two sisters: Shan Anderson of Texarkana, Arkansas, Felicia Gray of Texarkana, Texas; Three brothers: Cournia (Amanda) Lewis of Texarkana, Arkansas, Tyrone Ricks and Cornelius Coleman both of Sacramento, California; Four Aunts: Marie Lewis of Tamarac, Florida, La ’Sha (Ray) Williamson of Nashville, Arkansas, Emma Lewis and Wilma (James) Cook both of Ashdown, Arkansas; Five Uncles: Calvin Lewis of Ashdown, Arkansas, James Lewis of Memphis Tennessee, Horace Lewis of Glendale, Arizona, Harold Gallington and John Gallington both of Ashdown, Arkansas; Two Great Aunts: Lena Mae Woods and Helen Woods both of Oakland, California; Special Cousins: Gennetta and Stephai Ricks; Special Friend and dedicated Nurse: Michelle Hunter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Lewis/Gaines family &friends of Blind. He fought a long hard battle,He was indeed a Soldier, fighting til the very end.Altho Our hearts are heavy We must let go ,We must realize He became weak&weary...It was his time. His battle came to an end.I will remember all the good times and laughter he brought into a room, and how he was always there to lend a helping hand.My PRAYER is that GOD wraps his loving arms around you ALL giving you the peace /nourishment you need to move forward and heal,GOD BLESS YOU ALL
