Deepest condolences to the John L Turner Jr family. "Pecan John" as he was affectionately called was known across the state and area for his vast knowledge of pecans. He was also a passionate supporter of the County 4-H program with a saying "you can't put a price on education." Even though retired, he was still just a phone call away if needed at the office. He leaves a huge void in the hearts of the Miller County Extension Staff, past and present. We will miss him. Tangela, LaDarius know he was very proud of you. May God comfort you and your family during this time.

So sorry for your loss. I also worked with John, in the Extension
Service., Several times at the Beavers Bend 4-H camps that four counties. joined together to hold each summer. John was loved by all of the kids and the adults admired him for his abilities to entertain and educate the kids. I always enjoyed seeing the smile on his face and I pray he is happy in home he now has.

My sympathy to John’s family. I worked with John in Miller County. On a trip to Fayetteville to State 4-H O’Rama he played a trick on me that kept him laughing for years and I learned a lesson I'll never forget. John was a great guy and I'm so glad I had the privilege of working with him.

I have countless good memories of John coming to the farm as I grew up. He had a terrific sense of humor & was a gifted storyteller. My Daddy thought the world of him as did everyone. There is much to be said for a man that lived life so well.

John was a great man who lives on in the memory of others too numerous to list. It was especially fun to buy pecans from John because he was going add a surcharge. He would have some funny remark to make like "Carlton Jones, why do you have poison ivy growing on your house?" That's not poison ivy, John. "You a lawyer, I know plants!!" He was a friend to me and many more in my family and had always enjoyed his presence. He will be greatly missed.

Prayers and condolences to the family. Mr, Turner was my VoAg Instructor but more than that he was a man that spent his time helping others. He found me, and in his very strategic and love for people kind of way turn my life around. And gave me a reason to dream and did I dream. He change my life, my family life and my kids who were not even born yet. He could see what I could not see. He is what age. King talked about. Darkness can not move out Darkness, only light can. He was that light for me and many others. I am so thankful for him.
