​Lou Hattie Hayes of Texarkana, Arkansas was gifted to Percy Davis, Sr. and Naranzie Davis on December 29, 1945. Lou Hattie went peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Lou Hattie attended school in Guernsey, Arkansas. She married O.C. Hayes, Jr. on December 3, 1961. She was a lifelong member of Salem Baptist Church, where she was President of the Usher Board and a Sunday School Teacher.
Lou Hatti loved going to church and talking about the Lord our God. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a Mother and friend to many. She loved everyone as Christ wants us all to do. She also loved cooking . Everything she cooked was with love. Her hobbies were sewing, gardening and fishing. Lou Hattie had a heart of gold and was beautiful inside and out.
Lou Hattie was preceded in death by her father, Percy Davis, Sr.; mother, Naranzie Davis; daughter, Thelma Hayes; son, William Hayes; grandson, ZaKailenne Hayes; 3 great - grandchildren: Jaiceon, Kennedi, and Nova Rowe; 2 sisters, Alma Davis, and Alice Williams; and 1 brother, Percy Davis, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her faithful and devoted Husband of 61 years: Pastor O.C. Hayes, Jr. of Texarkana, AR; Daughters: Wanda Hayes of DeQueen, AR, Nerlene Hill of Texarkana, AR, Fay Hayes of Texarkana, AR, Linda Hayes of Texarkana, AR, Tomeki Hayes (Marcus) Calloway of Texarkana, AR; Stepdaughter: Callie Mae Hayes (Ronnie) Draper of Conway, AR; 1 Son: James (Gerdie) Hayes of Texarkana, TX; 1 Brother: Frank Davis of Pine Bluff, AR; 3 Sisters: Nola Watson and JoAnn Davis of Texarkana, AR, Thelma Davis of California and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation Friday, June 16, 2023 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church 7250 Blackman Ferry Rd Texarkana, AR.. Funeral Service Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Eleventh Street Baptist Church 1101 Laurel Street Texarkana, AR. Burial at Westmoreland Gardens Cemetery Cross Roads, Arkansas under the direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary.

Dear Family of Lou Hattie Hayes: The Hayes Family, All Immediate, Extended Family Members, & All Survivors. In the Mighty Name of Jesus the name above every name, circumstance, situation, & everything; I, Dr. Margarette Boyd Woodard send my deepest heartfelt condolences. I am praying that the God of Heaven & His Unlimited, Overcoming Grace will give the Hayes Family & my sister in the Lord Mary Moore cousin to Lou Hattie Hayes supernatural peace, comfort strength & His Unfailing Love will surround you today, tomorrow & beyond in the Glorious Name of Jesus. Thank God for the love she expressed to family & others. The lives she touched will not be forgotten. Thank God for all the years that He gave her to be with you.
