Though I know heaven has welcomed a very special person, my heart still feels the lost of my friend and exceptional colleague. With sympathy and loving prayers for the family.

Shirley and the Benton family’s was a next-door neighbor to the Smith’s family in Hope, Arkansas. She and I graduated from High School together in 1972, and we grew up together. She was a loving and caring person. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Benton’s & Miller’s family. God has called another one of his children home.

”To God Be The Glory.”

I was blessed by Shirley's sharing of her family, her heart, and creative spirit with me as I watched her do the same with her students and colleagues. She taught us all to never give up, to always create a more beautiful world and that it was our responsibility to do just that. Our world is brighter because we knew her. My prayers for the many families she was a part of.
