​

Theresa Ann Hawkins was born January 3, 1960, in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Willie James Crawford and Ethel Mae Finn.  She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in 2005 and united with Faith and Hope Temple Outreach Ministries at the age of 45. 
Theresa graduated from Texarkana Arkansas High School in 1978.  After graduating high school, she attended Prairie View A&M University, and met her first husband, Michael Dwayne Henry.  To this union, two children were born: Luciana Shunate Henry and Michael Dwayne Henry, II.  In 2018, She married her husband, the late Dr. J.D. Hawkins.
Theresa faithfully and diligently worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for 20 plus years in the city of Texarkana and surrounding areas.  She had a passion for caring and serving the sick and elderly. 
Theresa served the Lord faithfully under the leadership of Pastors Larry and Earline Benson.  She was later ordained as a Minister and then as an Elder.  She was faithful in teaching Sunday School.  She served as overseer of the outreach ministry auxiliaries of Faith and Hope Temple, facilitating the nursing home ministry, and feeding the homeless physically and spiritually at Randy Sam’s Shelter every month.  She also served the Facebook community with preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ on her weekly live “Word-Up, Sin-Down” broadcast.
Theresa is preceded in death by her sister Glorious Dean Watson, and her husband Dr. J.D. Hawkins.
She leaves behind to honor her memory:
One daughter: Luciana (Sedrick) Williams of Texarkana
One son: Rev. Michael (Amanda) Henry, II of Texarkana
Four Grandchildren: Landen Henry, Micah Henry, Caleb Henry, and Ca’Shon Williams all of Texarkana.
Two Bonus Grandchildren: Sedrick Williams, Jr of Grand Prairie, TX, and Taniesia Williams of Ft. Lee, VA.
Siblings: Charles Finn, James Finn, and J.C. Banks of Texarkana. Darell Crawford of Clarksville, TN, Marvin Bourial of Frankfurt, Germany, Linda Jackson of Magnolia, TX, Brenda Parker of Texarkana. Anthony Crawford, Willie James Crawford, James Crawford, Will Crawford, Shirley Crawford of Baltimore, MD, Shelia Crawford-Smith, Cassandra Brown.
A host of nieces, nephews, and special relatives.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends. I have known this family for many years and I know this is hard but keep the faith and I pray that God will give strength and comfort during this time of sorrow.
