The girls and I are missing you… I’m glad to have had a man like you as my uncle, as well as my grandpa before I knew my actual grandfather 💕 the man who taught me how to use the bathroom and encouraged me to stay fearless . I’m crying but I’m rejoicing as well because you’re comfortable & at peace 🥹. You’ve made a difference and did what was needed of you here. Your gone but forever missed 😩💕

Throughout my childhood, Mr. Thomas was a positive male figure, and surrogate caregiver. Many of the happy memories I have from that period of my life were made possible thanks to him and his wife Bobbie/Barbara. They embraced a neighbor child and his family as part of their own family. I’ll always cherish the sleepovers, delicious meals, trips to Arkansas, going fishing, feeding the chickens with Madea and Daddy V. When I was hospitalized with pneumonia as a young child, he and Bobbie were right there with my family. I deeply regret not keeping in touch with him over the last few years but I hope that I make him proud in my adult life from beyond. Every young man needs someone like Mr. Thomas in their life, and I’m grateful to have had him in mine for the time that he was. It was more than time well spent, it was splendid. I love you forever, Mr. Thomas, thank you for everything. — Dante (Kiana & Martita)
