Our sympathies to family and friends of Vanessa; in this time of sorrow, remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in troubled times (Psalm 46:1).

Dance Vanessa Dance like David danced! Vanessa was my friend my mentor, a prayer warrior and a woman of GOD! I worked with Vanessa at DBHS for many years. It was such a shock to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful counselor and helped so many employees with minority issues at DBHS; the Arkansas State Hospital; and, the Arkansas Health Center. For all of us who worked with Vanessa will forever hold her in our hearts and cherish the time she was in our lives.

To the Family of Ms.Vanessa Davis. We are praying for you and praying that God will comfort you.
Our line met Vanessa while attending East Texas State University and when we became members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She was our Advisor. Vanessa had such a beautiful spirit and pleasant demeanor. I contacted her last year on the phone and we had a nice conversation. She will truly be missed.

Minnie, Wilma, family and friends -
Vanessa was my friend and will be missed greatly even though I only saw her for a short time a few days each month. I will think of her every time I make or eat pumpkin bread. My prayer is that your faith and love will carry you through this sad time.

We've known Vanessa for several years and she has always been the same Sweet, Gentle, Calm and Level Headed Spirit as she was before her demise. Vanessa helped so many people and encouraged even more.
She was truly a Highly Valued Treasure that we all will soon miss.

Rest in The Arms of Jesus.

I drove her to work in the mornings for about four years and even picked her up after work a few times. She was so sweet and sometimes would buy me a sausage biscuit in the morning or some chicken for my family and me in the evenings. I was hoping my family and I could take her to Shotgun Dan's pizza again for her birthday but Jesus wanted her home before then to be with Him.

Vanessa had become a dear friend of our family. She and I would solve the problems of literacy and education when I drove her. She loved on us well. What started out as a financial arrangement became a great blessing in so many other ways. Our eternal hope in Jesus and eternity is such a comfort. Until we meet on that beautiful shore, Vanessa...

To Vanessa's family - she was such a joy and a staunch believer in God, as you know her faith went with her wherever she went. She and I had many conversations about faith, life, shopping, eating out and everything else that you can imagine. We shared both laughter and tears but we also shared our hearts. I am ever grateful that God in his infinite wisdom allowed our paths to cross.

Rest in peace my dear friend. I loved you like a sister. You were always there for me through the good and bad times as I tried to be for you. You were an intelligent, kind and thoughtful person, someone I could always go to for good advice. I will miss you always but I know you are in heaven and someday we will meet again.
