Oh my I was just looking through the obituaries. My heart goes out to the family and beautiful woman of God who stood beside my dear brother in Christ. I remember the Hallelujah times we had at Victory. Be comforted that you will see him again on the other side my prayers are with you all. Love you.

I've known and worked with my friend Vernon for many years . He lifted spirits of all he came in touch with, and no matter the circumstances he always carried that contagious smile. Vernon was a good man and I'm glad our paths crossed, leaving fond memories. I know Vernon will truly be missed by all that knew him. My prayers are with the family and friends of Vernon for comfort and healing.

We offer condolences to Vernon Cheatum’s family. My husband and I met him at work. On occasion we would cross paths otherwise. He was a kind and gentle man. He is sorely missed. I cannot recall a time he was not cheerful and smiling. He could brighten anyone’s day.
